I have a Vera 3 and a Vera lite which are on different subnets - UPNP does not appear to traverse subnets so is there a way to get my Vera lite added to the Vera 3 without the UPNP discovery working ?
I did find this UPNP Gateway which has suggested some paths for investigation to me - but is there some easy way to do this?
I haven?t done anything like this but I?d look into setting up a (NodeJS) proxy that would allow you to connect the two.
I started looking at the proxy idea - but then by luck I found its not needed - I installed ALT-UI to help work out my routing and found it had a setting to type the IP address of the second Vera. I did this and all the sub devices have appeared in the first Vera - both in the ALT-UI interface and the main UI7 interface
Control seems fast enough
It does not seem to have added the second vera as a device - only its subdevices so I’m going to assume it does require ALT-UI to remain. But given how much better I like ALT-UI I dont see the need to remove it so this is a solution for me,
