Screwy Thermostat Readings

My Wayne-Dalton thermostat WDTC-20 has some strange status showing up. The unit was set to “SAVE HEAT” mode by using the buttons physically on the device. The set point is 58 degrees. Yet Vera reports that its in COOL mode, with a set point of 63 (the HEAT non-save setpoint) and that the fan is ON (which is also incorrect).
I’m reluctant to have Vera control it if it can’t figure out the right mode and/or setpoint.

Anyone see anything like this??

This is almost along the lines of this earlier post, about someone’s WDTC-20 thermostat always being “5 degrees off” between the panel and Vera:

Actually its identical.

I did open a ticket with MCV. Unfortunately I haven’t heard anything

Let us all know when you do. As a side “issue”, I believe folks are often overheard complaining that their “Verbose logs” submissions are not being acknowledged in a timely manner and/or at all.

I assume MCV are snowed under at the moment. I have about 5 bugs open. After spending money to get the X-10 PLC approved by MCV it still doesn’t work

dissapointing :frowning:

It doesn’t like SAVE mode.
When its in NORMAL mode, it registers properly. Shows the heat is on and the right set points.
The actual temperature was always correct, even in SAVE mode.

So its similar but slightly different than the 5 degree off post.

Mine doesn’t seem to register properly in either mode.

Deleted everything and re-included it…guess what…now its accurate

How unpredictable!
