Is there any way to schedule access PIN’s to go active and become inactive at certain times? My office is getting a Z-Wave Schlage lock for their front door, and they want a way to have certain PIN numbers available for entry only at certain times of the day. I don’t have a Schlage lock at home, so don’t have any experience with them.
Yes it works for the older Vera interface UI-2.
we don’t know why it was removed. If it was done by accident or deliberatly. If you want it now you will need to use an older firmware or use a Kwikset lock. If you need a Lever lock you will need to wait for the kwikset or go to UI-2 with the Schlage.

If it works with UI-2, I think we would be comfortable downgrading a unit. It would be pretty much just be used to control the lock at this point.
I use it with UI2 .979 Don’t use the latest UI2 .996 or it won’t work. It’s been way too many months now since it was broken and no explanation why from MCV.
Where can I get a copy of .979 to flash back to? My home unit has already been upgraded to UI4 and I’m betting the one we get for the office will be on UI4 as well. I’ve seen some links to the later version UI2’s, but don’t know where to go for old versions.

I’m considering getting a Vera and a schlage zwave deadbolt lock. I already have some z-wave switches and dimmers controlled by a handheld remote. I also have a “dumb” keypad Schlage lock.
I have read some posts about problems with Schalge/Vera. Can anyone give me a no BS opinion as to whether it works as advertised?
Also any screenshots of the Vera-Schlage user interface would be great. A screenshot showing the part where you define codes, look at logs, define alerts, etc.

Okay, so we bought a new Vera2 for the office, and I can’t seem to get it to downgrade. It is currently at 1.1.1047. When I copy and paste the link into the Advanced URL for MiOS custom firmware, I get:
“Failed to download the Firmware Url!!!”
I’ve tried to search around on the forums with no luck. I promised my boss if we bought the Vera2, I’d be able to make it work with the Schlage locks and schedule the PIN’s. I don’t even see the schedule PIN’s option in UI4 at all.
If I can’t downgrade, is there any way to do this with LUUP. I really don’t want to tell my boss that I just wasted $250.
Usually we don’t recommend running Beta firmware, but the Schlage scheduling was fixed/restored in a recent release. MCV is very close to a new firmware release officially which will include this functionality.
If you can’t figure out how to downgrade, we might have to give you a link to a Beta firmware, if you are game. Lets see if someone can get you set up before that. Don’t worry about your boss just yet.

I’m running the 1.1.1155 and it doesn’t have the scheduling and I’m still upset about it not being there so yes please share somthing that has it. Even if it is a beta version I’m okay with that for now. I’ve been waiting for over 8 months for them to fix this.
Scheduling was restored back in 1093, if you are running 1155 you should have the ability to schedule Schlage locks, isn’t on the second tab of the lock settings?
edit: I am running 1155 and there is a ‘restrict code’ drop down for each of my codes. I am not sure if it actually works though…says it onle supports Daily restrictions and then comman failed with some instructions to try again…
I’m running 1047, which I believe is the latest public UI4 release. I see the restrict scheduling in there, but it doesn’t work, saying that my lock doesn’t support scheduling when I try and use it.
Shady, That will only work with the Kwikset locks not the Schlage. The Kwikset locks store the info within the lock for scheduling the Schlage locks need to have the times set into the software before the pin is set. Vera then puts the code in at the time it’s suppose to start.

So, tough for me to tell, which version does scheduling work in? And do we expect the eminent release to have this remedied?
Yeah, I really do need to tell my boss something. Is this something planned for a future release, or is there any way to downgrade back to a previous version that supports it? If nothing else, is there some way to set and clear PIN’s via LUUP that I can use to custom make a schedule?
As of today and the latest beta build available to us, pin scheduling is not functional.

I would love scheduling for schlage.
I currently monitor usage in the logs. I also have a camera to archive images when a code is entered, to see who comes through the door.
Until the scheduling is available, you could use the logs (and camera) to log who comes through the door.
I use the foscam FI8918W ($80 today) use the directions for the older FI89108 model.

Archive a photo whenever the following sensors are tripped or doors are opened:
X Front_Schlage Deadbolt [Foyer]
Number of seconds to archive the video after the sensors(s) are tripped 20 (seems to work for me, catch any stragglers)

Remind your boss, that with a key you have no way to stop someone from coming in at any time. At least now you can tell who (code) came through the door. You will never need to rekey the door, for a lost/stolen key.

It seems like it wants to work. I can schedule a code (Daily restrictions only) on the Schlage right after I add the code. It actually takes and the restriction appears under the newly added code. I wait for the window in time that I gave the code to be active and nothing happens, I go to check the code and it isn’t there anymore. Of course, the restriction is gone with it.
It just seems like the functionality is there, but broken. If we all submit a ticket to support, hopefully it is an easy fix.
