OK - just got the new lock today. I installed it and “enrolled the lock” per the Schlage documentation and the dashboard. It found the lock, but would never accept any commands, so I deleted the lock from my account. Now I can’t get the lock to be shown again - to find it, etc… If I try to “Enroll the lock” again per the Schlage documentation, I always get the flashing “x”… It never finds it on the Vera dashboard within the 60 second window, etc… Any ideas as to what to do here? I have re-set the lock unit again and again to factory defaults, per the documentation…
The Schlage documentation is written for using their own controller, not Vera. I would take what Schlage wrote with a grain of salt. Use Vera documentation as the guide if the instructions conflict between the two in regards to pairing the lock with the controller.
Have you tried to unpair the lock, then retrying the pair operation?
Also, how far apart are the two devices? What is the firmware level of your lock, and what is the firmware level of your Vera?
I got tired of messing with this… I took the lock back and bought another (same lock) that was factory fresh - and it works. Seems if you make a mistake pairing the first time, it won’t work. Ever ---- We really need VERA to write up what to do with this lock - since they don’t address it anywhere for VeraLite… Also - customer support is terrible… Just saying lol
