Schlage BE469 - Differentiate between manual and electronic locking

On the Schlage BE469, is there any way for Vera to differentiate between me manually turning the deadbolt as opposed to pressing the Schlage button on the keypad to lock the lock?

If not…what I’m trying to figure out is how the Vera could tell whether I lock the door and stay in the house compared to locking the door on the way out. I have the lock auto arming my alarm and turning off some lights…so I’d like the put the alarm in Away mode and turn the lights off when leaving and Stay mode…skipping the turning off the lights part…when just locking the deadbolt from the inside. Any ideas how to handle this? I’m a complete newbie to Vera so any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the lock does not differentiate between locking from the inside or outside.

I do not have any good suggestions for what you want to do. I use a scene controller located near the door to trigger my “Away” scene. I use my cell phone (which sends a message to Vera when it reconnects to my home Wifi), to run the “HoneyIamhome” scene.

I do this, using two codes for each user, one to turn-off the alarm and another turn-on.
