Wow, I will be the first to say this is an outstanding price in what is in my opinion the best Z-wave residential lock on the market today.
The only thing that will make it even better (and what I got from the distributor I bought from) would be the ability to buy keyed-alike straight from the warehouse.
TC1: You can get them keyed alike straight from Schlage. They then become Special Order, non-returnable (unless defective) items but it can be done.

Some of the differences between the current 469 series and these (468 series) are the 468 series have White LEDs instead of Blue and the 468 does not have the internal audible alarm when someone puts in a code.

What about the charges? Do you charge at time of purchase or when you ship?

I understand all of that. My question is WHEN do you charge my card? For example, Amazon.com does not charge until they ship my item. If I buy it and it doesn’t ship for 4 months, I don’t get charged until it actually physically is shipped to me.
I am just curious about how you guys handle that.
a) Will my card be charged immediately (or relatively immediately after price adjustment), or
b) Will my card be charged in mid-June when you receive the stock and ship them?
You will see a pre-authorization to verify that funds are available. Once the item ships, your card will be charged. If you are using a Debit card, please let us know in the comments so that the pre-authorization is not run.
I can’t speak authoritatively, it’s so new it’s not even listed on the Schlage website. the mechanicals and housing look identical the BE469, so it carries the same ANSI Grade 1 security rating.
The keypad is different, on the 468 it appears the numbers are always visible (looks like white reflective silk screening), on the 469s the numbers aren’t apparent until you push the Schlage button. ASIHome said white LEDs, but in the Schlage video they seem to be always visible.
As ASIHome stated, “the 468 does not have the internal audible alarm” which is the tamper and breakin alarm built into the unit itself. It is quite loud, but might not be essential to everyone.
Other than that, I can’t say much more without seeing the product manual. Seems to have 30 code capacity, just like the 469s. I’m guessing almost identical firmware. My house is already filled with Schlage handlesets and locks, if I needed more then I would seriously consider the 468s at this special price.
It would be nice to know whether the numbers are LEDs - can anyone confirm? Really though, anyone that has z-wave locks probably has automated lights so they can see the touchscreen.
Ok, I just ordered two of them. Sure was difficult to see the total be double what is expected but I will just have to trust Barry and ASIhome to get it right. Thanks for the heads up and they will be a welcome addition to my automation project.
Did you watch the video in the link I posted? I only skimmed through the video without audio just to see the internal mechanism. They might mention it in there.

ARGH!!! I totally meant to buy 2 of these this weekend, but got hung up trying to hang a tv in my son’s room!!! (it was all of a 2 day project due to havig to put in backer boards, re route some electrical and then drywall, mud and tape it all back up).
Asihome, any chance you could help me out and extend the sale for 1 day? (I completely understand if you don’t. I should have ordered them Friday but just kept being side tracked all weekend)
