Hi All,
I am looking for some info.
I have a Schlage be369 deadbolt on a condo out of town. I want to be able to change codes to let guests, repair persons, cleaning people etc. into the condo.
- Is the Verlalite or veraedge compatible with the be369?
- Will either work on the condo complex WiFi? We do not have a router in our condo since the WiFi is included in our monthly dues. We login with a password used by all residents.
- How far from the door lock can the Vera system be to work successfully?
- There a problem resetting it if the power goes out?
Any input or advice is much appreciated.
Thank you!
I’ve been using my BE369 with my Vera Edge for several months with no problem.
I’ve programmed all of my pins through Vera with ease.
The Vera can operate off wifi, but I’d be concerned that the wifi provided by the condo would have access time limits and that the Vera would become disconnected without means to reconnect. Not sure how well it would work if your condo wifi has the signin page you manually have to log in to each time you choose to use it.
I just ordered the Vera Edge, looking for a deadbolt now and was considering the BE 369 for my vacation rental, I imagine there are no issues assigning temporary codes? Basically I want to assign codes remotely and have them expire when the booking ends. I was comparing with the Schlage connect, seems the BE369 is the older version and the schlage connect is the latest and greatest? Since I have an uneven door, automatic closing/opening is not in the cards so the BE369 seems to fit what I need, doesn’t seem that the connect has a version that does that.
Thanks and sorry to hijack the thread!

Thanks, Scoutmedic.
I didn’t think about the time limit. I will have to check on that to see if the Vera edge would get kicked off after so long.
Thank you!
