Scheduling a Light to turn on at 7 and turn off at 10

Hello All,
Im sorry to ask you this annoying question as it seem a pretty basic. I am amazed to see the answers of many knowledged people in this form.

I have purchased a new VeraLite from Amazon. I have got it to work with my Android Cellphone using HomeBuddy.

Can someone please help me on how to program this device so that a particular set of lights would turn on at 7 pm and a different set of lights would turn off at 10 pm.
Both these sets of lights are setup on seperate Zwave switch which work perfectly with my phone. I guess that All I need is assistance in setting up a schedule and how to use it.

Go to the automation tab.
Create a scene for each set of lights.
Set a schedule when to execute each scene.
Select the set of devices to run on the specified schedule.
Sit back and have a beer … let Vera do the rest :slight_smile:

OK, so this may seem really easy but, I have set the light to turn on at sunset. :slight_smile: How can I turn it off at midnight? Do I write another schedule? How do I specify I want to turn a device off?

Yes. That’s it exactly. I find it’s easier to think about events rather than devices.

Start a new scene to run at midnight, find the switch under devices, and click the off button.
