Vera Light with the latest Firmware: I have a scene with 3 lights on AEON/FIBARO/no-name power plugs and 5 lights on FIBARO dimmers. When I press ON it takes about 40 seconds for everything to come on - a long time …
I have got the same problem, and mine is also when I try to just send on or off commands they can take 30 or 40 seconds. Looking at my system monitor my cpu is quite often at 1.05 up to 1.15, which I think is the reason for the delays. But I haven’t found why my cpu is so busy. I have about 70 devices, and a few plugins (5 PLEGs, Vera Alerts, Rfxtrx, 6 multi switches, 1 multi string, 1 Vacation Ghost, 1 GC100, 1 day or night, autovera, 3 virtual switches, dropbox uploader and info viewer), running on a Vera 3. This is driving me mad as it all used to be instant.
I have only 13 devices … Are you on the latest firmware and did this start after you upgraded? I am using this at a vacation home, just got here and upgraded and then I think this started happening.
I am still on UI5, I am still waiting until all the plugins I have will work on UI7, which could be a long long time. But with 13 devices you should not have that problem. Could it be distance to the controller in your case ? My guess would be that it is zwave communication problems in your case. Have you tried running a heal and looking at the results to see if there are communication problems ?
Check to make sure All Routes Failed isn’t flagged on some of the devices that are taking a long time. That would indicate the auto-routes are bad. Healing should help…
ran healing - no difference. All these lights are in one room with about 500 sq. ft… The effect of the lights turning on one by one over a 40 second period is not quite the wow effect I was looking for … :
there is a system monitor plugin, that’ll show you free memory and cpu load. But with only 13 devices cpu or memory should not be an issue, unless you have tons of plugins
did you upgrade to the latest firmware release? I think this was what did me in. noticed that I get error messages “like scene failed to run”, then that goes away and it continues, only to be interrupted again …
is there a safe way to load an older firmware? all of the instructions I can find relate to going from UI7 To UI5
