I’m hoping someone can help me define a scene to basically record video off my Foscam FI8910W camera(s) when my Front door is unlocked. I’d like to be able to capture who is coming into the house.
I’ve been able to add the cameras to Vera Lite, I’ve added the lock as well, however I cannot seem to integrate the scene.
I think I’m stumbling on how to tell the camera to capture the video and then to SMS or email me…I can send SMS and email from Vera, however it has only been a message and not Video or Pictures…Is this something I do with LUUP? I was thinking of a wget to a foscam URL, but I wasn’t sure how to grab the output of the WGET and feed it to another command…And then I’d need to know how to do a LUUP to SMS the video…
Any ideas would be appreciated…If there is a better way to do this, I’m all ears!!
Richard, my apologies on bumping an old thread, but my question was similar, and i use an android phone, and have downloaded the vera alerts plugin and the app.
Can you please try to put some words here for steps on how to set this up…
Bumping this thread again. Is there any way to have a picture message sent to a phone (an iPhone in this case) based on a triggered event? I would like to have my front door camera send a picture to my phone when someone rings the doorbell. Already have the doorbell integration figured out I think, now just need to figure out how to get a picture from the camera sent to me.
