Scene Overrides for Notifications

I presently have a scene setup that I activate when I leave my weekend home, and one of the events in that scene is to notify me if the patio gate (i.e. Schlage Lock) is opened. That works fine. However, when I’m actually back at my weekend home, I would like to be able to disable that notification with the scene I execute when I get to the house, so here’s my question…

Given the scene I already have with the active (enabled) notification for the patio gate, if I add the exact same event to another scene, but I leave the checkbox next to my notification name unchecked, will it override the prior scene and not send notifications to me when the patio gate is opened? Or will the prior scene keep that notification active until I actually go in and uncheck the “Enabled” box?
