Scchlage Lock does not support scheduling Vera2 U4 says

I get this error code when I try to set up a pin to be used at certain times “Lock does not support scheduling” This seems more like a UI problems because the lock is not the one that is keep the scheduling or is it. Does any have any help??

Yea same for me
Either they deleted the feature or they have a bug.

They messed it up starting with UI2 .996 or just before that version and it still doesn’t work. If you want to use it stick with UI2 .979 I have not seen anywhere where MCV acknowledges the screw up.

Maybe they are just not going to have that feature anymore. Basically screwing us out. I would not be surprised if it has anything to do with the fact that they have made a deal with Kwikset!

What is interesting is that if that were the reason it goes against the core values of MCV.

It really upsets me because the whole reason I upgraded both of my Vera1’s to Vera2’s is because I thought they would have all this stuff fixed in UI4. Now all I did is pay $178 to still run UI2 and not even the most current version of it.

This worked in UI2 but has been removed.
What are the folks with the Schlage lock supposed to do?
The Kiwkset lever is not even on the shelf yet.

I have heard that it was a bug and will be fixed

I share this concern. My 2 schlage locks are used on a rental property and I NEED this feature. It was there and now it is gone with Vera2.

PLEASE FIX THIS…THIS IS WHY I CHOSE TO GO WITH VERA INITIALLY.

I have been told that it will be fixed. I don’t know why MCV has not posted any comment publicly.

Because even though they said they were going to be more responsive to the public by having a blog they are back to their same old ways with no communication with us about whats going on.

There must be a communication cross-up somewhere. I swore that I saw information that said that the Schlage does not support this feature and it was mistakenly put in older firmware version and UI4 fixes it by not allowing you to do it.

MCV needs to clarify.

Barry the Schlage lock itself from what I was told does not support this feature. However this feature was implemented through Vera in UI2 as software work around. It has worked I and my customers have used it.
Now MCV has deleted this function from Vera in UI-4. MCV states they will fix but who knows. I hope they do because you will have a lot of angry customers.

It worked perfectly!! UPGRADED to Vera2 and it does not work. Not my idea of an upgrade. I have invested significant time and money into Vera. I have sang her praises to other Condo owners in our building telling them that they are throwing money away by using a rental property service. I have evened started getting calls and sending them to MCV website to order Vera. (Now I feel like a fool since it does not work)

I am not a techie and VERA is NOT considered a hobby. Up until now, she has proven to be a highly useful tool for my business. Schlage Bridge is now at $9 monthly and I am seriously considering the switch after this time-consuming, yet useless upgrade.

This is a MUST FIX. I have to be able to tell a guest that their code expires at 10am, cleaning crew code is active from 10 am until 3pm, and next guest code is active at 3.

I guess from MCV point of view is revert back to UI-2 or get a Kwikset lock.

Not something I would want to tell someone.

Hey so where is your rental property ?
Maybe we can trade rentals.

Panama City Beach, FL…and yours??

palm desert

I have 3 in Austin, TX area rentalsonlaketravis.com

Nice website! Noticed the door lock on Villa 3 picture. Do your guests still have to have a key??

This is why code scheduling is so important to me. No Keys that guests have to pick up and no check in process.

Panama City Beach has a seemingly endless supply of condos. Most are managed by rental companies that charge ~35% to owners. My thought has always been that I could get a lot of owners to switch and let me manage it for ~15% to 20%. I have been seeing VERA in every condo UNTIL NOW since I cannot schedule codes!!

Here is a bit of news from support concerning code scheduling.

I just received word from Ovidiu CICAL at MCV support that “Our developers are working on this. I believe is already fixed and it will be included in the next firmware release.”

I have 2 different types of Schlage Link locks; BE369 deadbolts and FE599 Lever Locks. With Vera2 U4, the scheduling function works for user codes (pins) with FE955 but not BE369. I get a message that the lock doesn’t support scheduling from the vera dashboard but that is misleading. I called Schlage Link and was told that their locks don’t have firmware only 20 memory slots. The ability to schedule user codes or pins is a function of the Zwave controllers software (firmware). I am running firmware version 1.1.1047. Is there a more recent version that will enable me to schedule user codes in my BE369 locks?
Thanks
