Run scene IMMEDIATELY when arming stay?

I have a scene that runs when I arm my DSC 1832 system stay. I would like for that scene to run immediately, that is as soon as I punch in the arm stay command on the keypad. At the moment it is not triggered until the exit delay on the system expires and the system is fully armed. Is there any way to catch when I punch in the arm command on my keypad and run the scene immediately? I know I can catch the exit delay event, but I don’t think there is any way to differentiate between an exit delay for an arm stay and an exit delay for an arm away, which is vital.

Alternatively, if I could just remove the exit delay from the system when arming stay, that would also work for me. Thanks!

When you say “keypad” I assume you mean the alarm keypad?

Mine does something like this but I drive the alarm off of Vera not the other way around. When I ARM (in my case using ImperiHome) it sets a switch in the Vera that controls the DSC and Blue Iris. Setting the switch triggers a PLEG that sends the ARM command to the DSC and starts some other activities such as updating the Vera that controls the lights, updating the ImperiHome panel, sending notifications to selected smartphones, SysLog etc.

Yes, sorry - should have been more explicit. I am referring to arming the DSC security system directly from the alarm keypad, or, really any other method (such as the keychain fobs).

Well, yes - that would certainly work. Except that for me it is easier to arm my security system using the alarm keypads and the like, since that is exactly what they are designed and positioned to do. I could, of course, get some z-wave controllers, and use them to control the Vera/lights/security system/etc, as you are doing, but it would be much less convenient for my setup. Of course, every setup is different, and perhaps even for me next year things could change to make a Vera primary make more sense
