Starting to get disappointed with this fucking Vera!!!

Why did the names of the rooms disappear and others appear twice?

Don’t use IE to manage room with the current UI5 version.

I had a similar problem while going through the throes of setup. After recreating the Rooms and reassigning the devices I had the thought that the red Save button only works on the current tab. I had never hit that after initially creating the rooms. At one point during adding a final device I got impatient and pressed a button on the unit after I had told it to do something from the dashboard. I ended up rebooting and when it came back the rooms weren’t there. I tried reloading form backup but no joy. This made me nervous about the stability of the system in general. So the notion that I had never hit Save IN THE ROOM TAB and then loaded a backup which had never had rooms saved makes me actually feel a lot better. If it happens again, I’ll be back to worrying, but for now I have a plausible, likely even, explanation. Hope that helps someone else.

Any time you make a configuration change in Vera, you will see the red save button. You need to click this to make the changes stick. One of the reasons for this is to keep writes to flash at a minimum. Once clicking the red save button, it will than save the data to flash.

Room management using IE seems to be corrected with the recent UI5 firmware 8)
