Hello,
I was wondering if/why the Rfxcom LAN module is more interesting than the USB version for a Vera3.
There is quite a price difference and I tend to see more pro on the USB version. DO I miss something?
In other words, what can a Rfxcom LAN do that the Rfxcom USB cannot?

You can extend the lan version with the extra visonic receiver.
In the USB version is this not possible.
Ok good point. I don’t think I will need to extend but this is a point.
Is there anything else?

I have both in use.
There are some other benefits.
Because of the telescopic antennae of the LAN version you will receive data from devices that are further from you rfxcom. http://www.hashop.nl/Webwinkel-Product-12275654/Rfxcom-V3.html
You can place the Rfxcom on a more logical central place in the middle and don’t need to place it close to you Vera
Not 100% sure but i think the load on the Vera is a lower when connected via LAN and not the USB.
Check also the plugins and the status of both USB and LAN version
Another good point about CPU. USB requires CPU time from the host…I am leaning toward the LAN version…
