Retrieve data about devices

Hello,

I am having discovering that the Name is actually retrievable using the description method and the Model using some kind of Manufacturer method…

My question here is: how can I retrieve the Model and Manufacturer string as they appear in UI5? I keep reading the doc but half do not work or is incorrect.

The only method I can think of right now is by getting and parsing the user_data.

Is that how UI5 is getting the information?

Yes, the user data is the configuration of what vera stores and reads about what is configured on the unit.
