Retrieval night state from http request Json or XML

Is there a way to make a http request to the vera to know if night is true or false?

According to wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_UPNP_Files I think there is no way to retrive this data. I think it’s calculated in an internal process :-\

What i’ve done is create a device with luup scene to put on and of the switche depending of the night state. My xbmc addon check for that in json and if it on it do the event. Now with python and xbmc no problem but on the vera side is there a way to had this to the my vera plugin. For sure i could put a new line value and check for that but is there a way to hide it. So it will not be displayed in the device but it will be displayed when retrival information of the device from json?
