Hi every one, I’m a little worry about a stupid thing I did before read the vera lilte help!!! :-[
I’m a newbie in the zwave technology, so I own a Vera lite, and paired the next zwave devices: one kwikset deadbolt, one GE outdoor module, one intermatic screw in module and a GE Lamp module dimmer
all devices where ok, after 2 days they begin to make erratic functionality, so my first choice was make a factory reset to vera, like I always do with the routers and such computer equipment, so I read the next post in the forum: http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Factory_Reset but I miss understood the last paragraph: Note: This also resets Vera’s security key! This means if you have paired secure devices, and you do not reset the Z-Wave network, they will no longer work after you do a factory reset. but when I realized that I have to make a factory reset first of the zwave network first was too late, so any help me please!!, this note means that al my previous paired equipment is no longer useful?? waste of money? what I can do for reset each on of the paired devices to factory reset?
thanks a lot for the help.
I think because the security key changed in Vera after the factory reset, she can no longer operate the devices that use secure command classes, i.e. your kwikset deadbolt. You’ll have to exclude the deadbolt from the network, and then include it again, so the new security key gets exchanged.
All your other devices are still working, right?
(Note that you can exclude any Z-Wave device at any time, from any primary controller.)
When you excluded them, did Vera indicate she actually removed the node?
I think you must to do a exclude even that not been listed in devices…
and after this exclusion try include the devices again.
this runs with me with one intermatic controller maybe with vera runs too.

That is correct.
Just exclude the locks and then Vera will find them again during the inclusion process
Hi, I already did that, but vera still can not recognize them, :(, help me please!!

??? Right; you didn’t exclude the lock before resetting Vera. That’s ok. Just do it now. You should see an indication on the Dashboard that a node was removed. Then include the lock.
