I’m completely redoing the way I’m setting up my VeraAlerts notifications. For example, I want to be notified when a door is opened. I now set up the notification under UI5 for that particular sensor. I am noticing that I MUST specify a user on the device notification for it to show up in the VeraAlerts notification sub-window. Is this the way it’s supposed to work? My intent was NOT to select a user, and rely on the “DefaultRecepients” to send the message to my Vera-Mobile profile.

That’s how it work for me. And my login is set to be the default, but I also check my name in the device when I setup the alert.
For me only time the default check box does anything (that I remember) is for vera reboot and internal processes notifications which you don’t setup or have control of.
Thanks All – that clarifies things. I was calling VeraAlerts by Lua before reorganizing things and thus didn’t have to worry about the notification recipients. I saw some verbiabge on the VeraAerts instruction site that one can create a “virtual user”. Is this something beyond just adding another username on the Vera account page?
