Currently, the app always launches to the carousel and rotates to the show the item that as last selected there. If I close the app with a control panel active, it would be nice if on next launch I went directly into that control panel.
I second that request. Nevertheless I think it would be more appropriate to post it in the Squareconnect forum.

I think this should be an option… I am not sure I would like this all of the time. It ads an extra step getting back to the main menu on launch. I have 12+ control pads.
I have submitted this to Square Connect hosted forum, so if a moderator wants to delete this thread from here I’m cool with that.
I could have sworn that this was added to the app, maybe I’m mistaken. When my iTouch goes to sleep, when I pick it up again and unlock it, I am at the last screen I was using.
Or are you talking about after you launch (your words) the app from home screen (something iPhone users probably have to do more). If so, this maybe a limitation of Apple Apps. As I understand it, they run kind of compartmentalized. Maybe they store the state in the settings icon/area on the homescreen, and access it on launch.
This was added… however it only starts *the carousel"on the last controlpad you opened… I believe he is talking about opening it up WITHIN the last controlpad, or whatever screen you were on when you last exited. It is one step further than was implemented.
As I said though, I like starting from the main menu because I have 12+ controlpads, its very unlikely I would want the same controlpad I had when I last exited. Someone with only 1 or 2 controlpads this feature might be useful for (which is possible for a lot of these new users because they haven’t spent the time to setup a lot more controlpads).
Definitely something that has my vote. Has for a while now!
In the list of priorities, always came out lower than others… Next release with luck.
