Replacing my nest

I have 2 Nests in my house and in one location it’s been causing me lots of headaches, first the heat wouldn’t stop running, they sent me a replacement and now today the AC turned on randomly and the unit is reporting errors. The fact this happened twice either means something is screwy with my wiring (although things did work for a few days each time) or the NEST units have crappy quality control

So I was thinking of trying a different thermostat - what is the most comparable zwave / vera compatible stat?

Also - anyone with any experience troubleshooting NEST issues - I’m all ears.

What error is it reporting ?

I can say that the only issue I’ve ever had with my 1st gen is when I replaced my wireless access point (Nest kept loosing the connection). After much research I finally read where someone said to simply reboot the Nest. I believe it required me to press and hold the device until it rebooted (you’ll know when it happens). That actually fixed my issue and it hasn’t occurred since. However I must say that the issue your reporting doesn’t sound good.

Have you tried swapping the working Nest with the other and see if that resolves the issue ?
