Removing A Bricked Aeon 4-In-1 Multi

Hello All,

I’ve been engaged in a multi-day battle with an Aeon 4-In-1 since it arrived earlier this week trying to get it to work with my Vera Lite. I am currently running the newest version of firmware in Vera and the Multi. I was able to pair this device initially and I was getting reports of motion. However, I was never getting temp, humidity, or lux information. Not being capable of leaving well enough alone, I went after it by cutting the default wake time in half. I also added parameters 11,112, and 113 and set them to 720. After making these settings, I went to the configure tab of the advance settings screen and initiated a ‘Configure Node Right Now’ command. I was never able to communicate with the unit after that. I was getting ‘Node not Configured’ and ‘Unable to any Information On Node’ errors. The unit will also not unpair, nor can it be deleted. The unit is bricked!

As a last ditch effort, I reloaded the newest firmware into the Multi again, and the repaired it. Success! There is now a new instance of the 4-In-1, and it is working perfectly including temp, humidity, and lux. The only thing I did differently this time was to pair while the multi was plugged into a USB port. I also let it sit for 10 minutes or so after the pairing LED on Vera did the rapid blink thing. The problem is, the old instance of the 4-In-1 is still there as well, and I still can’t it to go away.

Anyone know how to get a bricked device instance to just go away? ???

Thanks,

Eric
