I bought one a month or two ago, just got around to it recently, and am having problems with the “inclusion” and scan functions. I seem to be able to include it, but it doesn’t seem to pick up all of my switches, or any of my sensors. Anyone who has one and has successfully gotten it working I would be interested in your experiences also.
Can’t make my Remotec 550 work with Vera 3 at all.
When I try to use Vera’s scenes - only ON button works on remote, OFF does not get detected by Vera.
When I try to setup a scene on Remote - press Conf - Add - error led flashes.
Found another thread where MCV mentions 2 methods of scene activations: direct and using dimming %age. The last one does not support OFF commands. Is it possible to switch between them?
ZURC-550 has been bad buy for my purpose. I tried using with Fibaro Relay On/Off 2x1.5kw.
It will just include the 1 of 2 relay in that module. So didnt try it with Vera.
In case of ZRC-100. It worked very fine with my Vera 2 (UI4). Can include both the relay of Fibaro Relay On/Off 2x1.5kw on it.
Also was able to add scene directly from Vera 2. It can be done by adding the remote into vera as Battery operated device. And activating the learning mode on the ZRC 100. Once this is this you have to add events in each scene you want to control using ZRC100.
A little tricky it is. Just Google about it. You will surely find more better answers. Gonna integrate ZRC100 soon with my Vera 3.
With many remotes, it is not possible to detect which Off button was pressed. However, for certain remotes, Vera is able to transfer the scenes you set up in Vera to the remote, so the remote actually can control the devices directly and will also be able to turn them off. This typically involves including the remote again (without excluding), after having set up the scenes in Vera.
I do not have a Remotec 550, so I don’t know how this applies to that specific device.
