Regular flip switch

Does anyone regular rocker switch that can be used in a 3 way set up? There are plenty of the wide rockers, but I am looking for small toggle switch.

I have seen one that resets to the middle, but would like it to flip or flip and and stay there so as to match the rest of the switches in that box.

To utilize standard monostable(flip/flop) switches, you would need to use an in wall relay like the Aeon Labs Aeotec Z-Wave Micro Smart Energy Switch, 2nd Edition (DSC18103-ZWUS)

The GE/Jasco On/Off Wall Toggle Switch (12727) is the only Z-Wave switch I am aware of that has a toggle(appearance). But the switch is a momentary type where the toggle returns to center when released.

+1 on the Aeon Labs. I have a few and have been 100% satisfied.

Are they small enough to fit inside an electrical box?
And how would that work if it is a 3 way switch

If you have a deep box, then yes, they are small enough. It’s still tight though.

The typical 3-way hookup looks like the attached diagram, but there are other variations.

Ohh man I hated these switches especially when you have a few in one box. Depending on which light was turned on where… All your lights can be off, but some switches are up and some are down. Then to turn off the one light that is on you end up flipping each switch during your guessing to turn off that one.

All the new 3 way switches solve this problem and for a reason. Now you can have all the switching looking the same and even have an LED to indicated which one is on or off.
