Recommendations for making zwave 3 way light control

Thanks for patience, as I’m just getting started with lighting aspects of my controller (VeraPlus, if it matters).

I have a existing light with one switch that I’d like to be able to control from across the room (adding a wire between the new and old switch is not an option). It looks to me that some 3 way zwave switch combos require the traveller wire of an existing 3 way circuit (GE was the one I was looking at). Any suggestions on ones that don’t require that wiring and communicate just with ZWave?

Are there any switches (master or aux) that could also indicate current status of the light?

Thank you.

You could get a battery operated scene controller and place it where you would put the switch. Then write a scene (using the advanced editor) to “toggle” the zwave switch when the scene controller button is pressed. I use the Remotec ZRC-90US, it works pretty well. It would not show you the status of the switch.

The Cooper battery powered dimmer does what you want. Just stick it to the wall. You use direct association to control any other switch or dimmer. Once you set it up it will work even if the Vera is offline. Batteries last over a year.
