I currently have a system with Honeywell 5800 series devices (Lifeshield (formerly Ingrid)). Since I already have somewhat of an investment in the devices, I am wondering if there is a system I should consider that works with them, or if there is a different system you guys would recommend.
I have listened to the recommendations out there and realize door / window sensors should be left to the security systems, rather than going zwave. So now it comes down to finding a system that integrates well with Vera.
DSC and Elk seem like two products that I have seen people talk about on the boards. Also, I realize that Honeywell has their Vista series. Is that another option I should consider?
What are the differences in the plugins, anything I should keep in mind when integrating with Vera?
I have a VeraEdge and also am running my VeraLite for devices and apps that haven’t been upgraded to work with UI7, but I do want to pick a platform that seems to have support behind it from a plugin standpoint.
High level wish list:
