Received my new Vera3 today?

I received my new Vera3 today.

The Quick Start took me to the new UI7 Registration. I immediately received the message (Unit not Available for assign). After researching I found it seems to mean I have UI5 so I signed up under the cp.mios.com link.

This did work & it immediately wanted an upgrade from 1.5.286 to 1.5.622. After more research I did this upgrade & all went well in less than 5 minutes.

So now the decision is, do I upgrade to UI7 or stay on UI5 for awhile?

If I stay on UI5 & start using will upgrading be harder to do later?

Once everyone starts to jump ship to UI7, then I’ll follow.
UI5 is still the most stable platform (especially for PLEG users).

Is it normal for the Zwave light to not be on like it was before setup?

I have also had this happen - but it is not normal. If you haven’t already done so reboot Vera by unplugging it from power for a moment - that will likely clear whatever problem is causing Vera’s Zwave light to not go on.

Thanks after asking I just decided to reboot & it did work, weird though but so far hasn’t happened again. I plan on just leaving it plugged up tonight to see what it does.

The adventure is beginning even though not a very smooth start. :wink:
