I setup a scene to remotely control my garage door opener. Basically all I did was take a GE lamp external switch (on/off no dimming) and put in a switch that closes the contacts on a regular garage door opener.
The scene runs for 5 seconds (turn on - which is pressing the open or close button and then turn off).
The scene itself works fine, but it randomly will just run on its own. The reason I know this is I have a notification setup to let me know that the scene has run.
I cannot think of any reason why this runs. It’s not automated and no one has access to it. There is no rhyme or reason to why it is running and it happens infrequently. The problem is that since it is the garage door, when it runs my garage door is open.
It runs about once a month on its own. I wish there was a logging feature that would let me know what kicked it off.
Any ideas?
