Quick question before I buy :)

Hi everyone! I have two questions before buying my first VERA device.

I saw on Amazon sort of like a “Starter Pack”, and within the product description there are images that are screenshots of an iPad, with what looks an actual iPad GUI.

My 2 questions are:

  • Is there a VERA iPad app? Cause I can’t seem to find it.

  • Is the iPhone (and if there’s an ipad version) app stable? I read lots of reviews saying it doesnt work properly.

Thanks everyone!!!

Hi–

There are apps that run on IOS both for ipad and iphone. I use homewave. See the following web site.

                  homewave.intvelt.com/

There are several other apps that work satisfactorily.

Agreed - don’t think there is one app, there are several. While there is an app that I can guess would be considered the ‘official’ app, there are other apps written by people active on this forum - and I think you may find them better to your liking…

Hi! Thanks for replying!

I was actually referring specifically to the one shown by amazon, which appears to be UI7 for iphone and what looks like the same but for ipad.

Any ideas?

I’ll try to attach a picture

There is definitely a Vera UI7 iOS app. I have it on my iPhone 5c. I assume you can load it on an iPad. It works perfectly fine for me, subject to some strangeness with certain icon selection and status text.

+1 for Homewave. I think it is the best Vera app for iPhone after trying several.

@memevertical

We currently have a iPhone app, a iPad specific app is under development and will be available soon. The unique approach that we take with our community allows others to develop apps, plugins and add additional functionality; so their are 3rd party iPad apps available.

Could you either message me or email the link to the kit on Amazon. I’m curious what is being bundled.

As others have said you’ll find that there are better apps then what is provided buy VERA. Some are free some are up to 9.99.

I don’t use the factory VERA app.
