Qubino Flush "trailing edge dimmer" with firmware 1.5.622

Did someone actually try using the binary inputs with firmware 1.5.622 ?? Please drop a line and tell me about your experience. Thanks.

Trailing-edge dimmers are more sophisticated than leading-edge dimmers, and usually use a MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) or IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) switch rather than a TRIAC and coil. This benefits the user with smooth, silent dimming control, absent of any buzzing noise.

A trailing-edge dimmer has a lower minimum load (often 10W) than leading-edge dimmers, making it a better choice for dimming modestly sized low-powered lighting circuits.

Particularly beneficial for incandescent and halogen bulbs is the ?soft start? feature in trailing-edge dimmers, which prevents filament bulbs from dying or exploding of thermal shock when first switched on.

Hi, i’ve got a Qubino Dimmer set up on UI5 (the 1.5.622 version of the firmware) and i don’t have the input problems you described. See the attached image to this post, this is what i see when i activate both inputs. I do remember i had some trouble getting the UI to refresh the status of those inputs, but after a browser cache reload they display and refresh correctly.

I use I2 and I3 inputs (the ones that have binary sensor endpoints attached to them) as triggers for scenes that i activate via push buttons. Makes it easy to have blinds close and lights dim at the same time without having to grab my phone or PC.

Can you share the link where you said they described them as not working?

I’d like to see if they found any issues with them, but so far i am pleased with the module myself. Similar price to Fibaro Dimmer, but with more functionality as i see it.

It makes looking for new z-wave devices much easier :) The temperature sensor indeed doesn't display on the widget, the temperature is instead displayed on advanced tab of the settings under the field CurrentTemperature. I then use it via luup code where i need it myself. Got one of their single switches i plugged the sensor into and used it as a sprinkler system monitor. Just needed to extend the stock sensor cable length so i could put the sensor outside, the rest was fairly simple.
