You’re looking at two totally different camera DVR packages. Your choice will depend on your needs and preferences. Do you need 4 cameras or 8, or is it 16? Do you need CIFS or HD video? Or do you need a home automation solution and video is entirely secondary.

For my security camera needs, the linked DVR/camera packages are rather low end. My needs/desires call for high quality video and so far, I have been underwhelmed with the image quality of even expensive 2-5 megapixel HD systems.

I’m also thoroughly disgusted at the price of inferior quality cameras costing $600 to $2000 each when an insanely small 16 megapixel camera with WiFi, 4G networking, Android intelligence/programmability, and much more(e.g. Samsung Galaxy S4) can be had for under $500. I’ve yet to see a reasonable justification for the price of IP security cameras.
