Whilst Working on some new scenes after a reboot I got this message “Program Logic Event Generator[70] : Startup Lua Failed”. Is the only way to recover this to remove PLEG and drop it back in ?.
I think what happend was that a delay in an action got deleted whilst it was running (visually it looked like it had stopped running but it might have still be active from a PLEG perspective).
With this error condition it would not display anything at all so could not check if there was a spelling. Decided to uninstall and start again luckily I had a copy of the status so could easily build back up the logic I had in there. It’s also given me chance to do some housekeep that I was going to do. I also noticed that the app looks different upon reinstall so there might have been some silver lining to the cloud.
When going from UI5 to UI7 I had to uninstall PLEG. UI5 has its own version and you need to uninstall the UI5 version. Installing it again will download the UI7 version.
The UI7 version does look different. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong when I first upgraded to UI7 and ended up doing the same thing.
No I’ve been on U17 since early this year when I upgraded to an Edge unit. I see there was a recent new release of pleg so maybe thats it, or maybe the reinstall sorted out something that was not quite right before. Either way seems to be working as expected now.

You did not have to UNINSTALL PLEG … you only had to upgrade it.
An upgrade … even to the same version will select the proper UIX files (where X is 5, 6, 7, sorry if you though UI10 was around the corner!)
