This may or may not be related to fwd6. However it seems that since one of my veras started using fwd6 AutHomation app will not talk to it. Getting message “Received empty response”. App works fine for my other vera on fwd1/2.
I removed app, reinstalled latest app, it talks fine still to other vera, the one on fwd6 same errors. Rebooted that vera a couple of times no better. I can’t beleive its the app cause the older version was working just fine. I only downloaded latest beta version because I was hoping it would fix problem.
Other details: the one that is not working is a remote one so I can’t test the App on local lan.
If you are using the autoconfigure option, it should use the new fwd servers. What does the unit info show for the vera after adding it? Others have reported that the autoconfigure worked for them and it also worked for me when mine switched.
How typical. Everything I tried did not work. So I posted. Then one more time deleted that vera and auto configured it. Guess what… its working now. Sorry to bug ya!
BTW love the latest beta version. Awesome work. You should have some kind of Amazon wish list or something for people that want to donate something for your efforts. Or even a pay pal donate? Just a thought.
I have the exact same problem and have been for a while now. Seems like maybe it is not switching properly and/or FWDs are not working properly.
Did a ‘new’ Autoconfigure on local Wifi, it shows: primary/backup:FWD5/FWD6
… works when I use it on the Wifi locally
… when using 4G, “Received empty response” every time.
Did a ‘new’ Autoconfigure OVER 4G, it shows: primary/backup:FWD5/FWD6
… works over 4
… using local Wifi, “No valid ip address set in settings”
did another Autoconfiure on my Wifi LAN… now it is working on both LAN & 4G… seems VERY hit/miss. I suspect the problem is the FWD servers, not Authomation.
@Aaron I agree with you! Played around with AutoHTN and it was showing the same symptoms but is working fine now. (I did not try to reconfigure it when things were not working), but now that AutHomation is happy HTN is happy too. Common thing = fwd servers 8)

Sorry, I have been MIA for a bit due to a lot going on at work and my personal life. My free time has been very very limited and has put a dent in my time to work on the app. There should not be any issue with any of the fwd servers. It is just a matter of trying to get the app to get the correct ones. Since there is no easy way of automatically doing this, the auto configure option is your best bet to get the proper fwd servers set.
