Problems with DSC alarm panel integration

I purchased a WiFly card along with the IT-100 DSC card to integrate my 1832 with the Vera. I have it working but every couple of days to weeks it stops communicating. When attempt to telnet into the wifly card it immediately throws me out. I contacted Vera support and they made a change (they won’t share what they changed) so now I typically get 2 weeks before it stops communicating. I’ve informed Vera support that it still doesn’t work and haven’t heard back from them in a couple of weeks.

What I do to fix it is go into the DSC panel and change the IP address to a bogus one, save, then put it back and save again. It then begins to communicate immediately. Based on that it doesn’t sound like it is an issue with the WiFly, but the Vera doing something on the port.

Anyone have any ideas or good workarounds. I’ll take something that even scripts the communication to stop nightly for a few seconds and start again.

Are you using the latest 4.x firmware on the WiFly card? I recently upgraded mine and it’s not dropped out since.

Vera’s ‘discovery’ mechanism can cause havoc on done devices, so it’s possible teu just turned that off.

Guessed,

I am using version 2.32. Before I upgraded I wanted to check with you and see if the 4.x code is still working for you.

Thanks

Yup, cutover to it about 2wks ago and haven’t had any problems with it. I have it attached to my Brultech GEM which transmits every 5s and it hasn’t skipped a beat.

Just wanted to post an update, I upgraded to the latest 3.x code and the problem seems to have been resolved. Thank you for the help.
