Since installing the *.7xx series firmware with Lua I have been unable to view my local vera logs. When I click to view the logs from the vera UI, a new window opens which is blank except for “DateTime” at the very top.
I submitted a report of the problem to the MCV team, and was told in response that the local logging function had not yet been implemented in the *.7xx firmware yet. However despite that, I have seen discussion of individual users reviewing their logs (while using the *.7xx series firmware) so am a bit confused.
Anyone else experience this?
One suggestion I would like to suggest to MCV is to post a listing of what is (not?) implemented in each version of the *.7xx series of firmware as its released compared to the latest version of the *.6xx series.
That would save a lot of unnecessary ‘troubleshooting’ on the end users part when a particular Vera function doesn’t seem to work all of a sudden. I automatically go into mental problem solving mode when something doesn’t work. It would be nice to abort this by knowing it is not a local system problem
J-Wave, as you may have discovered by now - as it was posted elsewhere in the Forum - others have complained about being unable to view “Logs” through Vera’s local (e.g. http://[VeraIP]) interface, while they can see “Logs” just fine through the FindVera service. MCV is definitely aware of the discrepancy.
Unless I’m just being very bone-headed, I can’t see logs through Findvera.com either. Correction - I can go to the log page, and I can see simple 2-line entries for my Schlage lock only, but nothing for my other two devices (Schlage thermostat, and HSM100 sensor). I click on the “Track on Vera” link, and I get the same blank page with “Date/Time” displayed at the top as previously mentioned.
Am I missing something? Should I be looking elsewhere to see logged activity? I even have the “Verbose Logging” feature checked on.
