Hi,
I am trying to wire replace a standard wall switch with the Evolve LSM-15. The switch being replaced is at the end of the circuit and controls an outlet (with lamp plugged into it). In the current wiring since the switch is at the end of the run, the white is hot and the black is not. I wired the LSM-15 as follows - Green to Ground, Black from outlet - Blue from LSM-15 - White from LSM-15 bundled together in wire nut. White from outlet (hot) to Black from LSM-15. This appears to be working as the LED indicator is functioning. However, when I turn on the switch the lamp rapidly pulses continuously and I can hear the same pulsing sound from within the LSM-15 switch itself. I tried changing the switch but the same result. Any help would be appreciated !

Your present wiring is providing a Line and Load in the circuit, but the Evlove switch cannot function without a Neutral. You have three choices.
-
Rewire the circuit using the existing wires for Line and Neutral and adding another wire for load.
-
Remove the switch and use a Z-Wave controlled receptacle or plugin module.
-
Use an in-wall microswitch.
Edit: grammar
Thank you…this makes sense upon reading your response…
I have a receptacle that I can use instead. The wiring diagram seems to indicate that the outlet must be at the end of a circuit given it has one hot and one neutral wire…can you use wire nuts to connect two hots and the black from the lom15, and the same with the neutrals in order to install the outlet in the middle of a circuit?
Thanks
Yes. Just make sure that the black is indeed hot(Line) and the white is indeed Neutral. Always positively identify all wires.
