Pre-populate input fields?

Is it not possible to pre-populate the “ControlType”: “input” fields with the value of a variable unless I use JavaScript tabs?

Can’t find anything in the Wiki on the subject and so far, the other plugins I’ve looked at appears to “revert” (or advance, in my case) to javascript for cases where they’ve got input boxes populated with actual data on open.

I am interesting too. I remind I tested one day with no success.

I do not think so … But you can display the Current Value of a state variable next to it.
Many plugins do this …

Put if you want more control of your Plugin … JavaScript is the way to go.
