Power consumption shown in Vera Mobile

Hi, I am trying to show the current power consumption that I am gathering from a AEON HEM.
In the web interface it shows just fine, showing both W and kWh.
But how to show it in Vera Mobile?
Unfortunately I can’t find it, maybe I am just too new to this.
Alternatively I was thinking about creating virtual device like a Temperature sensor (which shows in Vera Mobile) and pick the power consumption from the HEM Device and paste it in the proper variable of the Virtual Device.
Am I trying to do something totally stupid? Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried other apps?

I couldn’t find any good and complete one. Any suggestion?

There are many and it depends on your platform you are using for a phone. Have a look in the following sub-forum:

Garrett is the creator of “AuthomationHD” for Andriod it’s FREEEEE

If it’s not the most popular it’s in the top 3 for sure. It probley has the most supported devices, and as you can see he’s very active on the forums so new devices are added in a timely matter if requested. Did I mention it’s Free!

ImperialHome I also use as it looks nicer and has more customization, but it doesn’t have alot of support for plugins or the rush to add them. I’m currently waiting on getting support for multiswitch for example from them.

If you have apple device, Homewave probley the most used.

+1 on AuthomationHD. The latest July beta had ‘keep screen on’ option added I desperately needed as I use my tablet at work to keep an eye on my dogs at home via IP cams. So teh tablet doesn’t go to sleep anymore when AuthomationHD is showing the camera feed.

It’s a tough choice between AuthomationHD and Imperihome. I’ve used both but Garrett seems more busy with supporting devices than Imperihome is and is more active and responsive in here. That latest July beta supports Multiswitch. It shows button status by having the button text either black (on) or grey (off)

AuthomationHD is currently running on every Android device I own. Which are 3 tablets and 4 phones. 3 of the phones are $8 clearance 3.5" screen Huawei Glory’s that I am setting up to use as wall controllers in various rooms. The 4th one is my LG G2 phone. 1 10" HP Touchpad with CM10 goes to work with me, the other is on the side table on it’s touchstone charger ready for use as a HA controller, email reader or web surfer. The last 7" $40 WallyWorld tablet is being set up as a combo wall controller, camera, power outage detector (using tasker profiles) and work to home intercom with the help of Skype and a bluetooth speaker. So I can talk to my dogs if they misbehave.

The Android apps to control Vera were one of the reasons to switch from iPhone 4s to LG G2 a year ago.
