Polling Z-Wave Controllers

I have 3 controllers (Intermatic HA07, Intermatic HA09, GE). All 3 are secondary controllers and show up with the yellow triangle icon on the dashboard and in the devices tab. I’ve tried polling each, but it fails. Should I be able to poll a controller?

PJ since the controller is not powered all the time you will not be able to poll it.

Before the latest release Vera had problems with adding HA controllers, and because the data transferred is incomplete they marked with yellow triangles.
Try to delete them (as dead node), reset the controller, and add it again – everything should be fine.

I finally got to re-add my HA07 - and it doesn’t work - I get that yellow triangle, even though the controller appears working. WTH?

???

Yeah, I had the same problem.

When I installed the 1.0.320 firmware, I noticed a yellow triangle icon beside my HA09 controller. It was still working fine but I decided to delete it and then re-add it as a secondary controller. The thing know is that it doesn’t work at all now. ??? I’m going to play around with it a little more.

AFAIK you have to resert it before re-adding: press and hold INC and DEL for ~10s, and then both 1 ON and OFF for the same time.

Now you can re-add

Now you have to go all over devices again to add 'em to channels

Thanks, I knew that but I must have missed that step. I guess that’s what happens when you do something so many times… (or because I’ve had a few late nights and I’m tired)… You get sloppy ::slight_smile:

Anyway, it all works now. Thanks 325xi

It’s just too bad I had to go around setting all my channels again. I did notice the new “add scene assignment” but didn’t feel like playing with it just yet. I’ve got everything working the way I want now.

I just have to figure out why my outdoor light is still flickering even after I turn it off. I’m guessing a loose wire when I installed the light switch. That should be a simple fix. If not, I guess I’ve got a faulty switch that is still feeding the light power.

Controllers always fail to configure. We’ll remove the configure error icon, which you can safely ignore in the meantime: http://bugs.micasaverde.com/view.php?id=321

This is not exactly resolved - now controllers appear with red C, which is an equivalent of old yellow sign…

This was fixed, but you won’t see it until the next firmware.

Ha, now instead of creating new threads with spam, they post spam as replies to existing threads…
