I just wanted to share a deal on Newegg.com for a PoE switch. It’s the ZyXEL ES1100-8HP-240W which goes for $79.99 + free shipping + tax where applicable. The standout features for this switch are that all 8 ports are PoE ports and they are 30@ each. Most switches only have half of the ports PoE and they are often at the 15W level. The reviews say that the fan is very loud, though.

Please note that I have no financial or any other kind of benefit mentioning this deal. Actually, I have already a TRENDnet TPE-S160 switch (16 ports, all PoE, 15W each) where the fan is very loud but I purchased the ZyXEL because at least one of my cameras needs more than the 15W. I might end up not using the TRENDnet TPE-S160 and instead just use the ZyXEL because it has just enough ports (note that you probably need one port for the uplink, hence you can have up to 7 PoE cameras).
