Hi,
I’m trying to create a schedule for spring/summer garden watering.
So, I wanted to create a schedule for every year, starting on May 1st and ending on Sep 15th.
I created the schedule with absolute start and end dates and left the year drop down as “*”.
I set it up in April and when May 1st came around, I noticed that the the schedule status did not change to “TRUE”. So, I hit “do it now”. But I’m just wondering if I should have set it up differently. I’ve attached PLEG output for my schedule section.
Should I have used a different start and end time, instead of midnight?
I’m using midnight in an absolute schedule.
I did notice that it didn’t fire for the coming of summer when I first set it up.
I had to do the same and do it now.
The winter schedule fired as expected. Not sure why this happened, but it works.

I have the same issue will not change the status - appears today 10/10 as true (summer) - maybe there is a syntax error please review attachment - can we have an answer. many thanks!
You might want to do this at other than midnight … Absolute schedules require that Vera be running at the time of the transition … (i.e. not reloading)
MCV has agreed to a API change that will allow me to fix this deficiency. But I have not checked to see if its in the latest release.
You might have other things in your environment happening at midnight that causes Vera to restart. You might do something like 00:07:00
Now I know why mine works…It’s on a Lite using good old UI5 ![]()

Hi Richard, just upgraded to 1.7.3232 on my VeraPlus and absolute times still don’t work in PLEG. Bummer, too, as I relied on them in UI5 and lost the capability when I upgraded my unit. Glad to hear there’s a fix on the horizon, though.

Thanks a lot, have changed both schedules - seems to be OK.
Well problem was not solved. Maybe it is a syntax issue but it seems the requested absolute dates are not recorded for - status is True when should be False.
The status report on the previous PLEG GUI clearly presented the absolute requested schedule and status. Now it seems this report is not available (now, when pressing “Status Report” nothing is generated) - the only way of having some printout is the “Logic Report” which does not state this information.
Please see attached screenshots.
So we have two issues:
- Absolute schedule
- Missing Status report.
Thanks.
