So upgraded to UI7 (again) and I lost my triggers. Fine I expected that.

My Condition names all still show up. But the condition expression boxes are all blank.

My actions all appear to still be there.

Andy my conditions seem to run fine.

  1. How can I get my condition expression boxes back with the text that belongs in them?

  2. How can I create triggers again (I add triggers, called “t1” and then press accept, go back to control, press save, but none of the triggers I create persist.

I’ve done the PLEG upgrade where I call the URL.

Did you upgrade both PLC AND PLEG ?

I thought I had but maybe Vera didn’t refresh or something.

I upgraded my Vera to UI7 tonight (forced to so I can use the GD00Z garage door opener) and am trying to work through some of the issues from that. Before the upgrade I was already on the latest Program Logic apps (1.33 for PLEG/PLTS and 1.34 for Core).

I have a bunch of issues that might be solved by an uninstall/reinstall of the PL apps, but if I do that will I lose all my settings? If not I can definitely try that.

Anyway, here’s my issues…

  1. On the Devices tab the icons for PLEG/PLTS do not show up correctly. I get the generic icon for when the browser can’t find the image file. The source that it’s looking for is “skins/default/img/devices/device_states/ProgramLogicEG.png” for PLEG and “skins/default/img/devices/device_states/ProgramLogic.png” for PLTS. I verified through WinSCP that these file do not exist. I’m also getting the same thing for VeraAlerts and the Day/Night app. I uninstalled/reinstalled Day/Night and then rebooted and the icon was fixed.
  2. When I go into one of my three PLEG devices and click Report I just get a blank page. The other two PLEGs show the correct report. Same for status.
  3. If I go into Inputs on any of the three PLEGs (even the one where Reports doesn’t work) I can see my inputs, but I can’t edit them. The edit button enables the drop-down box to select a device, but there’s nowhere to select the property of that device I want to watch. Clicking the name of any trigger/schedule/device property instantly sends me to the Dashboard.
  4. Under Conditions all my condition objects are there, but the Condition Expressions are blank (they show up properly in the Report). Clicking the name of the Condition takes me to the Dashboard.
  5. I read another post discussing the way Actions are different in UI7 so maybe I just need to play with it. But when I click Edit nothing happens and clicking the name of the Condition takes me to the Dashboard.
  6. When I go to the Register tab within any of the PLEGs my Registration ID is undefined. I put in my verification code and hit Verify but nothing seemed to happen.

I haven’t actually been able to test if any of my PLEG rules are even working yet. But I’m still hopeful as it seems other people have been able to do this.

PS - I just saw another post that said I need upgrade PLEG after a UI upgrade even if I’m at the latest version. I just did that and nothing changed. Also, my interface doesn’t look like the ones screenshotted in other posts. My Inputs/Conditions/Actions/etc… are in a vertical list at the bottom and not in the green bar across the top. Not sure if that means anything.

I saw that but assumed since I was on the latest version I didn’t have to upgrade again. I did that and rebooted and not change.

I just edited my original post with that info but you were too quick for me.

And I did verify that at least two of my rules from the PLEG that will not show the Report are working.

Now Refresh your browser …

I had refreshed the browser and even used a browser on a different PC. I reloaded the PL apps again and rebooted at the end with no change. So I reloaded them a 3rd (maybe 4th?) time with rebooting between each and this did the trick.

With Vera, if something does not look right … you need to do the Vera Two Step:

  1. Reload Vera
    On UI5 Reload is on top, on UI7 you can find a Reload button on the bottom of the Advanced Tab for a device.

    This makes sure Vera starts with the latest config changes.

  2. Refresh the Browser

    This makes sure that there is no cached OLD data in the browser.

Hi Richard,

it seems I have this issue as well. Besides the issue I can’t save (and thus create) any PLEG device due to the UI& bug that is due to be resolved (I HOPE) by MCV mid this month in a new firmware.

I have:
PLC
Current Version: 7.48
Latest Version 7.48

PLEG
Current Version: 7.47
Latest Version 7.47

And I do not see any icons in the PLEG devices (which I am sure I had weeks ago). Also it does not matter what browser I take (IE, FF, CHR, etc.).

Also if i open a PLEG It do not see the buttons on top in hte geen bar, I only see them summed up like any other devices. Existing PLEGs I can look at this way but it’s not the way it should be.

I tried to do a backup of my PLEGs but after it asks for the filename nothing happens… I wanted to backup and then uninstall PLC and PLEG and start all over over…

Do you have any clue?
