The default polling Interval for my devices with Instant Status is 0.
This is not usually a problem.
However … if the device changes state while Vera is restarting, rebooting, or powered off … Vera, and consequently PLEG and PLTS will not see these changes.

You can solve that problem with very little overhead to your system. Set the polling interval to something like 1200 seconds. This will cause Vera to Poll the device almost instantly on restart … and keep Vera, the Program Logic plugins, and your Automation logic up to date.

120 seconds? That is 2 minutes, isn’t that a lot of overhead for instant status?

If I understand correctly, the instant status will still work, and the two minutes is a “manual” status there in case of the conditions RTS mentioned.
