I have an app which has been pending approval since Friday. Is there a way to contact the approvers to find out what the holdup is?
My experience is that it can take several days for a plugin to leave this state, but that I’ve never been left hanging beyond that. The amount of time to review and publish always struck me as pretty reasonable; YMMV. I don’t have an official contact but I’ve received information from user mcvflorin in the past.

Thanks for the reply. The previous two versions of the plugin were approved the next business day, this one is closing in on a week.
It’s August in France … which is where approvals are made … and for those not familiar with the French culture … it means things move at the speed of molasses at the north poll. Relax … it will get approved.
I also have changes pending.

Hmm, I guess you can really say that the Vera/MiOS is a global venture? ![]()
It isn’t just France, but other parts of Europe as well.
This is ridiculous, going on a week and a half now. I understand that August is slow in Europe but considering these plugins are what bring value to their product you’d think they would have some interest in keeping these moving.
Calm down. MCV is a small company. It is not like Apple where they have 100’s or even 1000’s around the world reviewing app submissions. It will get approved. It is normally not this slow. It only takes a few days. You need to just accept the culture differences and be patient.

I agree.
Small companies have their own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to things. That, coupled with how other parts of the world do things, it can add for some interesting delays when you want to get things done now but can’t.
If you haven’t done so yet, also post the files in the forum as well, so that people can use your plugin while approval is still pending.
You can also contact mcvflorin and ask for an account on code.mios.com, if you want to post you code to a repository.
@garretwp: I was born in, and have lived and worked in Europe (and in many other countries/cultures)…and I work in a company of 18 people in an IT service industry. I understand what you’re saying but I am disappointed by it. It’s not unreasonable to expect a simple review process to be completed in a few days, we’re not talking about thousands of lines of code here. I just don’t think it reflects well on their company and hopefully this doesn’t become the norm for them.
@SOlivas: I’m just going to wait for the review to be completed as I’m not interested in managing a page on code.mios.com.
Sorry for the delay in the apps approval. Currently I’m the only one in the company that manages the apps (fortunately this will change soon), and I was in a vacation last week. I had to get up to date since returning, so I reviewed all the pending apps today.
Cool, hope you had nice vacations mcvflorin! I am also waiting for some approvals, but it hasn’t been so long.
