Paradox Security Systems DGP/EVO Alarm Plugin

Have you tried entering the code “disarm” scene: RequestArmMode(Disarmed, 1234). Once when I sought the help of home security system canada, they gave me few instructions which I would like to share with you. Hope it would benefit you.
To arm, press and hold Away key for 2 seconds and press Quick Arm. If you intend to cancel the arming sequence, enter your access code. Stay arming will bypass the interior protection (i.e. motion sensors) and arm the perimeter of the system.
While arming the system by using the Arm button on the wireless key, the system acknowledges by sounding a single bell squawk and while disarming using the Disarm button on the wireless key the system acknowledges by sounding two bell squawks that can be heard from the exterior of the premises.
In the case where no disarming is required from vera, exit and save. If you are required to arm and disarm, then stay in this screen - Advanced Tab/“Enable Remote Arm” and try entering any one given below into “EnableRemoteArm” variable given below:
disarm (all functions including disarm is available)
stay (enable stay arming and away arming)
arm (enable away mode arming)
Of the above three, disarm is the least secure. Click the wrench on the DSC Alarm Plugin for the setup box. Under the advanced Tab, you will find Enable Remote Arm where you can enter the variables.

Hi Eddie,
Thanks for your response. I’m using a different plugin unfortunately - Paradox EVO Alarm Panel Plugin

If anyone has any advise it would greatly appreciated.

[quote=“kylev12, post:220, topic:165163”]Hi All,

I’m new to Vera, I’ve had the Vera Edge (UI7) now for a few weeks.
I’ve got the PRT3 module with the Paradox EVO192.

Successfully have it connected and receiving updates and has imported motion sensors and ‘Alarm Panel’ & ‘Alarm Communication’

Issues I am having is:

  • Unable to ‘Remote Arm’ I receive “Remote Arm is not enabled”
I have added the variable ‘enableRemoteArm’ with value ‘disarm’ tried numerous times, reboot controller and raised a case with support. Still unable to get it to work.

Anyone else come across this with Vera Edge UI7 ?

  • I also receive an error that ‘1 device is no longer connected’ this appears from ‘Paradox Security EVO’

If anyone could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advanced.

Kyle were you able to fix this issue? i am having the same problem with the unable to arm message

Hello to All,

i’m new to vera community and i have Vera Edge with UI7. I’m trying to connect my EVO192 HD control panel with PRT3 module. I have the same issue like kylev12. I’m receiving all the data from the panel, motion detectors, states of the partition. The problem is that i have a comm problem error in the dashbord and also i can’t arm/disarm the panel i receive an error Remote Arm is not enabled. I’m Paradox distributor in Europe so i can help if some information from Paradox is needed to improve this plugin.

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys.
I am also having the same issue. I have a Vera lite with the prt3 and the Evo HD. I have the error also. In the variable I do not see enable remote arm anywhere. I believe on the UI5 you would enter true instead of false and it would work. I could be wrong. I should have taken a screen shot of the UI5 parameters. It seems this may be a little different from UI5 and hopefully there is a fix.

Having the same issue with the “Remote Arm is not enabled”. Is there no way to get hold of guessed other than this forum?

Hi,

I have connected PRT3 successfully, but i’m having issue to tie PTR3 virtual input to EVO192 security zone. Does any one knows how to do this?

What do you want to accomplish with connecting the virtual input to security zone?

Hi, I have an paradox evo 192 panel and am looking to add some home automation. I was looking at getting a Vera edge or plus and was searching to see if it will integrate with my panel when I found this thread, however there?s not really any recent posts. Before I go ahead and purchase a Vera and paradox PRT3 interface, can someone please confirm if this is still working and I?ll be able to control my hue lights with my paradox motion sensors? Many thanks for any feedback.

Hi. Does anyone know if this paradox plugin can control de PGMs on the panel? And if this is possible, then could anyone here please provide me with the luup code to make them work?

Regards

Did you mean this:

Hi to all

This is my first post and please show understanding.

My question is: The plugin “paradox evo alarms panel” operate with vera plus UI7.

In wiki I read that it works with UI2 and UI4. I would not want to buy the paradox module PR3 and not use it.

Thanks in advanced

It was written, used & tested against UI2 through UI5. I never had UI7, so I personally never ran it under that environment, but I believe others have successfully done do (under the covers, UI7 isn’t that different from UI5)

Very early on in UI7’s rollout, and similar to the DSC, there were minor tweaks made to adapt to a few UI7-compat issues.

Note: I’ve not actively developed this Plugin for some time, and I no longer run it at home (as of ~2wks ago)
