Outdoor camera recommendation

I’m in WI and am looking for a decent outdoor camera. From reading, it seems that I should be looking at running BlueIris, but I’d also want to tie it into Vera.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

I just purchased a HikVision DS-2CD2032-I and I’m very impressed. I’m running BlueIris and it workes great, I’ll be adding more soon. This cam is outdoor rated and has the IP66 rating.

How do you have your BI set up? Do you have your security cameras through blue iris and then the rest of your system through vera? Do you keep them separate or are you able to control your blue iris through vera? Can you trigger vera seens when your cameras sense motion? I’m trying to decide what kind of setup I should run for the outdoor cameras that I am getting. From what I can tell, BI seems to be the best option. I just don’t know what the best way to integrate it into my existing system is.

I really like the PT cameras over the fixed view. That said I think these weatherproof domes don’t work with the ir LEDs the PTs. Do you lose ir capability with a PT when you put it into a weatherproof cover?
