I have purchased two licenses for PLEG but an concerned about continued use if your servers go down and/or Vera Inc shuts down. Therefore I am wondering if there is a way to guarantee that if neither of these two entities are available that I can still use my system. Also, I do have Vera backups, but is there a way I can download all the potential apps that I may want onto my computer in case Vera does go out of business or Richard has to shutdown. Thanks for any assisance with this matter.
You only need my server to obtain a license.
It does not use the Internet at run time.
Excellent. Do you know of a way to dump the data from the Vera in case of emergency so I can have everything locally
Not sure I know exactly what you mean … You can make a Vera Backup.
Yes I know. But what if Vera LTD goes belly up and I want to be able to install and Uninstall different plugins. Is there a way to do that without going through the mios servers so that I can save the plugins I want on my computer and be able to install them or remove them without relying on them being available online. I see when a plugin is installed there are multiple files associated with them. But how can I use those files to install a plugin manually.
They are saved in the backup!
If MCV goes belly up you will find very few people that will want to walk you through how to install their plugins manually.
They will be busy finding other systems to work with!
