I have made no changes to my network (it’s been stable for a couple weeks now :o ) and the batteries aren’t very old, just over a month. For some reason I’m getting the question mark now and it’s been my experience that once you get that, it doesn’t go away. I would really like that lock to monitor battery usage so it can let me know when they need changed.
How do I fix this?
The lock is about 20’ from my Vera 2 running UI4 (if that helps).
This happens sometime on battery powered devices (i.e. Locks, Smoke & Motion Sensor…). They basically need to wake up that the vera can get it’s battery level. I don’t know how you can wake up your lock manually, but maybe you did it by accident by just “using” it. I am sure it’s written in the device’s manual how to wake it up.
I had this happen to mine and discovered that the Date/Time on my Vera2 unit was off. After resolving that problem the battery level displays properly.
Vera compares the date of the last battery level poll (batterydate)with the current date and if it os more than 7 days ago shows the ‘?’ rather than the recorded level.
