I currently have a nexus 5 and have Tasker, authomationHD, and the official vera app installed on my phone. I have scenes on my vera that are triggered by time, but sometimes I feel I need to say, turn the lights on at 1030’ or something like that. It seems to be a pain to setup a scene just for a single instance, if anyone knows how i can do something through Tasker or google now, to just change the state of a device that would be helpful.
If I understand you correctly, You are trying to schedule an event, by voice.
I don;t have an answer for you, There’s no easy way. My guess would be to look at possibly scheduling Google Calendar by voice and then having the Google calendar plugin act on that.
That is correct. I guess if even be satisfied if there was some way of setting up a trigger for only a single occurrence. Meaning instead of creating a scene to do it, and then having to go back and remove the scene since it was only used once. Like turn the lights off in 5mins. Something I might not want everyday but maybe just today.
I had scheduling in Version 1 of HAL (used a PC server).
It’s on my to do list for Version 2 (Android only)
Sorry, I’m not aware of what HAL is. But I was able to get something going last night, at least a proof of concept. I used Tasker along with autovera and autovoice. I’m able to setup a key word for it to trigger a Tasker event on along with passing the duration. What this does will start a task and that task when waits the specified time. Once time has been satisfied, it continues and then using the autovera plugin will trigger the command. It seemed to work but there were still some bugs in my Tasker logic.
