Wanted: Brave souls to update to the latest beta firmware and report back to the forum. After last time’s fun and games with my ZCOMBO’s I’m gonna hold off a few days. :wink: (found on the Vera website)

NOTE: As stated, it is a BETA and not a general public release.

Vera Beta Software Update ▾ UI7 ▾ Version 7.0.12 (1.7.707/1.7.1509) ▾ October 23, 2015

The Vera Beta Software Update Program allows users try out pre-release software. The feedback you provide on features, quality, and usability helps us identify issues, fix them, and improve the overall Vera user experience.

Please note that since the public beta software has not yet been commercially released, it may contain bugs, errors, or technical inaccuracies. It may not function as well as General Availability Software Releases.

Please submit feedback via the following email address beta@getvera.com.

Be sure to back up your Vera Smart Home Controller before installing beta software. Install only on non-production controllers that are not mission critical. We strongly recommend installing on a secondary controller, and not on your primary controller.

While installing the beta software does not void your hardware warranty, we do not offer any Customer Care on the Beta Releases, beyond bug submission. Customer Care is only provided for controllers running General Availability Software Releases.

Again, we will not offer Customer Care via normal support channels (support@getvera.com, http://support.getvera.com, and +1 (866) 966-2272) for controllers running beta software.

If it fixes my smoke alarms I will do it. I am tired of seeing the red flashing icon on my Impurihome control systems.

While I agree, I do appreciate them calling them Beta now and allowing some more real world testing before releasing it as a general release. I think it’s a move in the right direction.

This is disappointing. I miss being able to set my thermostats to Auto and setting a cool AND heat point at the same time like I could way back on my Vera2.

Also don’t see anything about the multisensor 6 which has been unusable for me since I bought it :frowning:

How can they miss this.
Every fibaro device i add, vera adds another 2. So for every 30 devices i have, vera is showing 60 devices!!!

Nothing on the promised fix to the Fibaro binary sensors. No thanks

I’ve probably waited too long for this release, so this morning I bit the bullet and installed .12 “beta”. Crazy, I know :slight_smile:

Well, everything seems fine so far, on my 50+ device setup, and I am happy to report that setting heat/cold setpoints via LUUP and/or advanced editor finally works as expected, which is extremely surprising since there was nothing about it in the change list.

Frankly after seeing that change list says nothing about sepoints I started to think about jumping ship since this issue was critical to me and it hasn’t been fixed for over a year, but I am a happy camper now ;D (kudos to MIOS guys for finally delivering what was promised a long time ago )

Ok installed it, 2 out of 4 of my FA Smoke Alarms are still showing as “Waiting for wakeup to configure device” I have removed and reinserted batteries in them to get them to wake up but they still wont fix, I guess im going to try to readd them.

Ok removed and added my FA Smoke/CO and they are working correctly again. No false alarms and my status is green again.

Are they showing a CO device now or any indication Vera will recognize a CO alert if sent by the unit?

Good thing I put a ZCOMBO in the garage as my new car has remote start as a factory option. Once I am sure Vera can recognize a CO alert, I’ll have to program a scene to open the garage door if CO detected. I doubt I’ll activate it by mistake as it requires a press for lock door and then a double press to start the engine, But just in case, I’m covered.

There is no option for CO when creating a scene so im guessing no, if you tell me what to look for I will let you know. I’m still new to the vera programming, only had one for 2 months.

I receive the following error message permanently on top of every screen: “GET_LANG(system_error,System error) : Device: 9. Fail to load implementation file D_GC100.xml”

I assume this is for the Global Cache 100, which I do not have.

Also, the Aeon Smart Switch 6 Gen5 still does not work; part number ZW096-A02.

Is this the best place report this?
